BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Accident reports

October 11 – N. Dixie Drive

Unit 1 was traveling south on North Dixie Drive in the southbound lane, and when at 8028 North Dixie Drive, Unit 1 fell asleep, failed to maintain control, crossed into the northbound lanes, went off the east side of the road, and then struck a light post.

October 11 – U.S. 40 @ Frederick Pike

Unit #1 was traveling west on US 40 (W. National Road) in the westbound lane and when at Frederick Pike, failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2 which was traveling west on US 40 (W. National Road) in the westbound lane and was stopped for a red traffic signal.

October 16 – Frederick Pike

Unit #1 was parked in parking spot at Stillwater United Methodist Church located at 6911 Frederick Pike. The driver of Unit #1 entered the vehicle and the vehicle uncontrollably went in reverse in large arc before striking church building near the southwest corner causing significant structural damage to church.
