Kappa Beta holds Paint Party fundraiser

Pictured is the latest fundraiser Paint Party coordinated by Kappa Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma members and friends.


VANDALIA — The Kappa Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma recently held a Paint Party fundraiser with members and friends. Sigma Phi Gamma is a friendship organization with charity fundraising as a main goal. Kappa Beta of Vandalia, is one of 94 chapters of Sigma Phi Gamma across the United States and Canada. Last year the 1,575 international members donated 66,829 service hours and $170,092 to charity.

The Paint Party was planned and carried out by members with help from Cass Barth, local slate artist. All attending were given supplies and directions for making three-part pumpkin slates to use for holiday decorating. Over $400 from this fundraiser will go to local charities, including two $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors from Vandalia-Butler High School.
