BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

October 3

Meeker Road, theft of mowing equipment

Philadelphia Drive @ Frederick Pike, OVI with crash

Accident reports

October 3 – Meeker Road

Unit #1 was traveling north in the northbound lane and when at 8512 Meeker Road, Unit #1 lost control of the vehicle leaving the road to the right, over corrected and went left striking a utility pole, and continued into the tree line on the left side of the roadway.

October 3 – Frost Road

Unit #1 was traveling south on Frost Road in the in the southbound lane and when at 11975, Unit #1 lost control of the vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway colliding with a mailbox belonging to 11975. Unit #1 then over corrected and went left of center and ran off the left side of the road colliding with a tree. Unit #1 then collided with a culvert and overturned one full revolution landing on its wheels.

October 4 – Miller Lane

Unit #1 was traveling west in the parking lot of Chipotle, 6759 Miller lane, and when attempting to park in a parking spot, Unit #1 struck a parked vehicle (Unit #2) and left the scene without attempting to make contact with the owner or leaving a contact note.

October 5 – Martindale Road

Unit #1 was traveling north on Martindale Road in the right lane and when and the curve located by 613 Martindale Road, Unit #1 lost control of the vehicle and drove off the right side of the roadway while attempting to negotiate a curve, over corrected, causing the vehicle to overturn.

October 5 – Little York Road @ Laurel Ridge Dr.

Unit #1 was traveling westbound on Little York Road in the westbound lane and when at Laurel Ridge Drive, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling westbound on Little York Road in the westbound lane and was stopped in traffic.

October 5 – N. Dixie Drive @ Little York Road

Unit #1 was traveling north on North Dixie Drive in the left turn lane and when at Little York Road attempted to make a left turn to travel west and in so doing, failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and collided with Unit #2 which was traveling south on North Dixie Drive in the inside southbound lane. Unit #1 lost control then collided with Unit #3 which was stopped in traffic on Little York Road in the turn lane to travel south on North Dixie Drive.

October 5 – Philadelphia Dr. @ Frederick Pike

Unit #1 was traveling northbound on Philadelphia Drive in the northbound lane and when nearing Frederick Pike, Unit #1 lost control of the vehicle, veered into the southbound lane striking Unit #2, a Toyota Corolla, which was traveling southbound on Philadelphia Drive in the southbound lane.

October 6 – Little York Road

Unit 1 was traveling south from 3811 Little York Road attempting to enter the eastbound lane of traffic on Little York and in doing so, failed to yield the right of way to, and collided with the front of Unit 2 which was traveling west on Little York Road in the westbound lane.
