Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

September 7

A complainant on Donora Dr. reported the theft of a live animal trap from his back yard. The investigation continues.

The manager at the waffle house reported a shortage in the cash drawer from the midnight shift. The investigation continues.

A complainant reported that a car ran into her car in the parking lot of the Speedway on E. National Road. The suspect drove away after the police were called. The investigation continues.

September 6

Anthony Mastroianni, 66, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after responding to a residence on N. Brown School Road.

A resident on W. Alkaline Springs Road reported that someone took three silver coins from his residence. He suspected an ex-roommate. The investigation continues.

A resident on Imperial Court reported that her purse was stolen from her car. There’s the possibility it was stolen in Lebanon as well. The investigation continues.

September 5

Officers were dispatched to the Super 8 on the report of a “naked woman going crazy.” She was located and taken to Grandview Hospital on an emergency admission. The investigation continues.

September 4

A 15-year old juvenile was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Stonequarry Road. He was taken to the juvenile detention center.

James R. Bullock, 47, was arrested for OVI after running the red light from I-75 to E. National Road. His vehicle was towed and he was taken to the county jail after becoming disorderly.

September 3

Corey J. Adams, 26, was arrested for OVI after crashing into a landscape rock in the center median of Dixie Drive. He was released to a family member.

Lyndell D. Stanley, 26, of Trotwood, was arrested on a warrant out of West Carrollton for failure to appear on a traffic offense after officers responded to a disturbance in the gym at the Vandalia Recreation Center. He was transferred to the custody of a West Carrollton police officer.

September 2

A business owner on National Road reported that someone cut the lock off of a storage container at the rear of the business. It is unknown if items are missing. The investigation continues.

Officers responded to an address on Surrey Road on the report of a fight between a male and a female. The incident was not a domestic violence under Ohio Revised Code and both refused to prosecute.

September 1

A complainant reported that his vehicle had been struck by the City of Vandalia street sweeper in the parking lot of the Flying J Travel Plaza. The investigation continues.

A 17-year old juvenile male was cited for driving under suspension, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at S. Dixie and Farrell Road. He was released to his parents.

A resident on Thoma Place reported his wallet lost or stolen from the parking lot of the building. The investigation continues.

August 31

William M. Trimble, 54, was charged with criminal trespassing after being found at the Family Dollar, a place he had been trespassed from previously. He was taken to his house.
