Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

August 22

D’Javen L. Mitchem, 25, was arrested on a warrant out of Moraine for failure to appear on a traffic case after a random license plate check. He was taken to the county jail.

August 23

Khoree B. Hancock, 24, of Englewood, was arrested for OVI after being initially stopped for a traffic violation. He was also found to have an active felony warrant for domestic violence out of Montgomery County and a failure to appear for driving under suspension through the Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to the county jail.

A 14-year old juvenile female was arrested for two counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal damaging after an incident on Randler Ave. She was taken to the juvenile detention center.

August 24

Levi G. Abshire, 19, of West Milton, was arrested for OVI after an accident in the Speedway parking lot. He was released to a sober friend.

A 15-year old juvenile male was charged with being unruly after leaving Butler High School prior to the end of the school day and voluntarily running away. The case was referred to the juvenile court.

Alexandra N. Cromwell, 21, was charged with assault after an incident with her roommate on Halifax Dr. She was released with a summons.

August 26

James B. Nestor, 42, of Miamisburg, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Warren County and a misdemeanor warrant out of Montgomery County after an officer was asked to remove him from the Travelodge property. He was taken to the county jail.

August 27

Jonathan Belcher, 35, was arrested for OVI after he was observed squealing his tires leaving the Taco Bell onto James Bohanan Dr. He was released to a sober family member.

A 17-year old juvenile female from Huber Heights was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County Juvenile Court after a traffic stop. She was taken to the juvenile detention center.

August 28

Brandon W. Miller, 25, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Continental Court. He was taken to the county jail.

Michael G. Thacker, 48, of Dayton, was arrested on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to appear on a traffic violation. he was taken to the county jail.

August 29

A complainant on Imperial Court reported that a woman stole property out of his wallet while he was sleeping. The investigation continues.

Chad C. Carlock-Oyler, 23, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Continental Court. He was taken to the county jail.

A complainant on W. Alkaline Springs Road reported that unknown person(s) took a handgun from his apartment and his vehicle over a two week period. The investigation continues.

August 30

Unknown suspect(s) set fire to the playground slide at Demmitt Elementary School. The investigation continues.

Scott J. Slade, 59, was arrested for OVI following a hit and run crash on Northwoods Boulevard. He was stopped on National Road. He was taken to the county jail.

A complainant on Kenbrook Dr. said that she was the victim of identity fraud after receiving a denial for a credit card that she had not applied for. The investigation continues.

A complainant on Miller Lane reported damage to an unoccupied rental property. The investigation continues.

Brandon Langston, 32, of Dayton, was arrested on a warrant out of Miamisburg Municipal Court for failure to appear on a capias case with an original charge of prohibited solicitation. Langston was found to be soliciting at I-75 and Wyse Road. He was transported to the county jail on the warrant.
