BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

August 29

Cloverleaf Road, rape allegation

Sunny Ridge Road, domestic violence

Emery Drive, criminal damaging

August 30

Old Springfield, criminal damaging

August 31

Landsend Court, dog control restraint

Accident reports

August 29 – U.S. 40 @ Frederick Pike

Unit #1 was traveling west on National Road in the right lane and when at Fredrick Pike, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling west on National Road in the right lane and was stopped in traffic.

August 29 – Benchwood Road @ N. Dixie Dr.

Unit 1 was traveling west in the left turn only lane on Benchwood Road, and when at North Dixie Drive, Unit 1 attempted to make a left turn to travel south on North Dixie Drive and in so doing, failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and collided with unit #2, which was traveling east on Benchwood Road in the straight travel lane.

August 30 – Meeker Road @ Frederick Pike

Unit #1 was traveling east on Meeker Road in the right lane and when at Frederick Pike, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling east on Meeker Road in the right lane and was stopped in traffic.

August 31 – Little York Road

Unit #2 (RTA bus) was traveling eastbound on Little York Road in the eastbound lane of travel and when at 3880 Little York Road, Unit #1 (pedestrian) walked into the middle of Little York Road to stop Unit #2 so he could catch a ride. Unit #2 slowed so Unit #1 could get out of the road. As Unit #2 proceeded forward, Unit #1 was lightly brushed by the side of Unit #2. Unit #1 then went to the ground and Unit #1’s left foot was driven over by the right rear tire of Unit #2.

August 31 – Little York Road @ Peters Pike

Unit #1 was traveling westbound on Little York Road in the left turn lane, and when at Peters Pike, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling westbound on Little York Road in the left turn lane and was stopped in traffic. Unit #1 then fled the scene.

September 1 – York Commons Blvd.

Unit #1 was in the drive through lane at Taco Bell located 3410 North Dixie Drive. Unit #1 backed into Unit #2, which was also in the drive through lane and was stopped in traffic.

September 2 – Little York Road @ Dog Leg Road

Unit #1 was traveling west on Little York Road and attempted to turn right onto Dog Leg Road and in so doing failed to maintain reasonable control cutting the turn to sharp striking two stop signs.

September 2 – N. Dixie Drive @ Little York Road

Unit #1 was traveling south on North Dixie Drive in the left turn only lane, and when at Little York Road, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling south on North Dixie Drive in the left turn only lane and was stopped in traffic.

September 3 – Little York Road @ Peters Pike

Unit #1 was traveling west on Little York Road in the west bound lane and when at Peters Pike, failed to obey a traffic control device, (A red traffic signal) and in so doing collided with the left side Unit #2 which was traveling south on Peters Pike in the south bound lane. This action caused Unit #2 to lose control and collide with Unit #3 which was stationary in the north bound lane of Peters Pike.

September 3 – Frederick Pike @ Peters Pike

Unit #1 was traveling west on Frederick Pike in the right lane and when at Peters Pike, Unit #1 failed to obey the traffic control device, red light and in doing so, collided with the left rear of Unit #2, which was traveling south on Peters Pike which leads into Philadelphia Drive, in the right lane.
