BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Accident reports

August 16 – Stonequarry @ Peters Pike

Unit #1 was traveling westbound on Stonequarry Road in the westbound lane, and when at the intersection with Peters Pike, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling westbound on Stonequarry Road in the westbound lane and was stopped in traffic.

August 16 – N. Dixie Dr. @ Little York Road

Unit #1 was traveling northbound on North Dixie Drive in the inside straight travel lane, and when at approximately 200 feet north of Little York Road, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling northbound on North Dixie Drive in the inside straight travel lane and was stopped for traffic.

August 18 – Little York Road

Unit #1 was traveling eastbound on Little York Road in the eastbound lane of travel and when at 4050 Little York Road, Unit #1 failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling eastbound on Little York Road in the eastbound lane of travel and was stopped in traffic.

The collision of Unit #1 into Unit #2 caused Unit #2 to collide with the rear of Unit #3. which was also traveling eastbound on Little York Road in the eastbound lane of travel and was stopped in traffic. Unit #1 was found to not have valid insurance after the fact.

August 22 – Little York Road @ Peters Pike

Unit 1 was traveling west on Little York Road in the westbound lane and was struck by Unit 2 which was traveling north on Peters Pike in the northbound lane. Due to 4 conflicting witness statements, the at-fault unit could not be determined.

August 22 – US 40

Unit 1 was traveling west on US 40 in the west bound lane and when at 4361 US 40, failed to stop within assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of unit 2 which was traveling west on US 40 in the westbound lane and was stopping in traffic.

August 23 – Meeker Road

Unit #1 was traveling westbound on Meeker Road in the westbound lane and when near 8100, Unit #1 lost control of the vehicle, went left of center, and struck Unit #2, which was traveling eastbound on Meeker Road in the eastbound lane.

August 23 – Frederick Pike

Unit 1 was traveling south on Frederick Pike in the southbound lane behind unit 2. When Unit 2 slowed to turn left into 9060 Frederick Pike, Unit 1 attempted to pass on the left, went off the road to the east, striking a fence, metal pole, gate and two wooden posts belonging to 9060 Frederick Pike. Unit 1 also struck Unit 2. Unit 1 then fled the scene.

August 23 – N. Dixie Dr. @ Little York

Unit #1 was traveling southbound on North Dixie Drive in the cener lane and when at Little York Road, failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2, which was traveling southbound on North Dixie Drive in the center lane and was stopped in traffic.

August 24 – Martindale Road

Unit #1 was traveling east on Martindale Road, in the right lane and when at the curve, Unit #1 lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road right, came back onto the roadway, into west bound lane, back across east bound lane and into the woods.

August 24 – Meeker Road @ Dog Leg

Unit #1, a tractor trailer, was traveling westbound on Meeker Road in the westbound lane, and when at Dog Leg Road, Unit #1 turned northbound, and in doing so, ran over the stop sign and road signs. Unit #1 continued northbound without stopping or reporting the incident.

August 25 – Benchwood Road

Unit #1 was traveling west on Benchwood Road, in the right lane and when at 3132 Benchwood Road, Unit #2 was attempting to turn left into the driveway of 3132 Benchwood Road, when Unit #1 passed Unit #2 on the left, colliding with Unit #2.

August 26 – Dixie Dr.

Unit #1 was traveling east through the parking lot of 8817 North Dixie Drive and side swiped Unit #2 on the passenger side front door and fender. Unit #1 left the scene without making contact with Unit #2. The right front passenger mirror of Unit #2 was forced back toward the window indicating that Unit #1 was traveling east.

August 28 – Little York Road – Peters Pike

Unit #1 was traveling westbound on Little York Road in the left lane and when at Peters Pike drove through the intersection where the lights were not functioning, striking Unit #2 who was traveling south on Peters Pike in the right lane and had the right away during
