Butler Township Trustees to hold pair of special meetings

BUTLER TWP. – The Butler Township Board of Trustees has scheduled two (2) special meetings. The meetings will be held at the Butler Township Meeting Hall, 3780 Little York Road, Dayton, OH 45414 on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 4:15 p.m. and Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.

The Board will meet on August 5 to approve a resolution requesting certification from the County Auditor’s Office for the 3.5 Mill Levy for Police Services and again on August 9 to pass the Resolution declaring it necessary to levy the tax, as previously approved and discussed at the Trustee’s Meeting on July 26, 2016.

The resolutions to be considered can be found by clicking here.

According to Township Administrator Erika Vogel, the meetings are to address a missing step in the process to get the levy on the ballot. These must be completed by August 10 in order to meet filing deadlines at the Montgomery County Board of Elections.
