Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

June 27

A complainant on Bayonne Dr. reported that her ban debit card had been used without permission. The investigation continues.

An officer discovered a vehicle reported as stolen at the Shell on W. National Road. It was returned to Budget Rental Car.

Bobby G. Smith, 38, was arrested for disorderly conduct/intoxication after he came to the police department looking for a ride home. A responsible adult was not found to take custody of Smith. He was also cited for marijuana possession and taken to the county jail.

The manager of the KFC on E. National Road reported the theft of funds from a cash drawer. The investigation continues.

After running the plates on a vehicle at the Travelodge/Knights Inn on Poe Ave. the vehicle was reported as stolen. it was towed at the direction of Huber Heights Police. The suspect was not located.

A resident on Taylorsview Dr. reported a wallet stolen from a vehicle. The investigation continues.

June 28

Officers were called to the Travelodge/Knights Inn on Poe Ave. to investigate a room covered in blood. The investigation continues.

A Dayton Airport Police Officer brought David Stapleton, 49, of Dayton, to the police department for an Intoxilyzer test. He tested .282 BAC and was released in the custody of the Airport Police Officer.

An employee of DRT Medical on reported his vehicle was stolen. The investigation continues.

Jeffrey L. Salisbury, 37, was arrested on warrants out of Dayton Municipal Court, Butler and Clinton Counties during a search for a violent felony suspect at the Knights Inn/Travlodge on Poe Ave. He was transported to the county jail.

July 2

Michael R. Breen, 28, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Halifax. He was taken to the county jail.

Peter Hirt, 46, of Miamisburg, was brought to the police department Butler Township for an Intoxilyer test. Hirt tested .174 BAC and remained in custody of the Butler Township officer.
