VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.
A 16-year old juvenile male was charged with felony domestic violence and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center.
Melody N. Henderson, 41, at large, was arrested for disorderly conduct/intoxication after officers were called to the Super 8 on the report of a person possibly having a heart attack. She was taken to the county jail.
A 15-year old juvenile female was charged with being unruly after a disagreement with her mother. The case was referred to juvenile court.
Brandon K. Madewell, 26, was cited for disorderly conduct/public intoxication after he was found sitting on the curb on E. National Road with his legs into the curb lane of traffic. He was released to a friend.
A resident on S. Dixie Dr. reported that a known suspect assaulted her twice. She sustained visible injuries and reported the subject may have left the state. The investigation continues.
A complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend took her State of Ohio e-quick pay card while she was in jail and withdrew cash. He said he would pay the money back but has failed to do so. The investigation continues.
A complainant reported that a suspect stole money from her by depositing a fictitious check into her account while she withdrew cash and gave it to the suspect. The investigation continues.
Caleb Tipton, 23, at large, was charged with felonious assault after he was involved in a fight that left another male unconscious at the Travelodge. He was taken to the county jail.
A 14-year old juvenile female was charged with OVI, failure to comply, no driver’s license, and driving without owner’s consent after she drove into the Burger King parking lot and attempted to flee. She was released to her mother.
A complainant reported that the back window of his truck was broken while parked at a N. Dixie Dr. business. The investigation continues.
Wayne K. Tackett, 35, was arrested on a felony warrant for forgery out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court after an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle at the Super 8 Motel. He was taken to the county jail.
Michael J. Hering, 22, turned himself in on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to comply with probation. He was taken to the county jail.
A resident on Chelsea Ave. reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle parked in his attached garage and stole items. The investigation continues.
A business on Poe Ave. reported that their offices were broken into overnight. The investigation continues.
Ashley N. Ballard, 31, of Dayton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic case following a license plate check at the Travelodge/Knights Inn. She was transferred to a Huber Heights police officer.
Officers were dispatched to a business on N. Dixie Drive on a criminal mischief complaint regarding entry into vehicles owned by the business. The investigation continues.
A 14-year old juvenile male was charged with being unruly after running away. He was taken home.
Jason M. Long, 36, was charged with OVI after a two vehicle crash on Kenbrook Dr. He was released to a family member.
Ralph J. Singleton, Jr., 41, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic case. He was transferred to the custody of a Clay Township police officer.
Brandon McClanahan, 30, of Springfield, was given citations for fictitious plates and driving under suspension after a random plate check at Speedway. The vehicle was towed.
