VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Winding Hollow Trail on the report of a possible overdose. The subject revived on his own but was transported to Grandview Hospital.
A suspect on Soter Pl. paid contractors to complete work. The contractors demanded payment up front but only a portion of the work was completed. The investigation continues.
A business on Poe Avenue reported a break in of a storage shed. Tools and lawn equipment were removed. The investigation continues.
Cody A. Trent, 27, was arrested for OVI after being found in his vehicle passed out in the driver’s seat. He was released to a friend.
A complainant on Pool Avenue reported that her 16-year old daughter ran away.
Randall S. Cox, 42, was arrested for domestic violence following an incident on Pool Ave. His charges were later amended to assault after prosecutor refusal for domestic violence. He was taken to the county jail.
Angela M. Lovelace, 40, was cited for child endangering after her 3-year old child was found wandering on Gabriel St.
John P. Woods, 34, was charged with domestic violence after an incident on Pool Ave. Due to an overdose of medication, he was issued a summons at Grandview Hospital.
A business on N. Dixie Dr. reported that a vehicle had been entered and the fire extinguisher had been sprayed. The investigation continues.
William P. White, Jr., 39, of Xenia, was arrested on a pair of traffic warrants out of Dayton during a community patrol at the Travelodge Motel. He was transferred to a Dayton officer.
While conducting random license plate checks at the Hawthorne Suites a plate came back stolen. The driver of the vehicle was also found to have a felony warrant out of Brookville, whose officers came to the scene and took custody of Marsha Schumacher, 45, out of Lima.
While investigating a suspicious vehicle on Grosbeck St. two arrests were made. Taylor K. Spencer, 23, of Dayton, was arrested on a warrant for felony robbery out of Miami County. Jacob A. Testerman, 33, of Vandalia, was arrested for possession of drugs. Both were taken to the county jail.
Julie A. Jenkins, 54, was arrested for OVI after dispatchers received a call regarding a driver slumped over the steering wheel at W. Alkaline Springs and Stoney Springs Roads. She was released to a friend.
A complainant reported that he forgot to load a motorized scooter into his vehicle while at Helke Park. When returning the next day, the scooter was gone. The investigation continues.
Maggie S. Swaney, 24, of Trotwood, was arrested for OVI, possession of marijuana, and child endangerment following an accident at the Vandalia Carry Out. She was released to a friend.
A complainant reported that she was scammed into sending over $1,000 via Western Union. The investigation continues.
Jason R. Walker, 40, was arrested for sending text messages to his spouse in violation of a protection order. He was taken to the county jail.
Christian R. Mace, 26, of Elkton, Alabama, was arrested for OVI and possession of suspected marijuana after being passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at the Hawthorne Suites. he was taken to the county jail.
Austin K. Morris, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage possession of alcohol after being found on the grounds of St. Christopher Church. He was issued a summons to court.
Elsie D. Greer, 25, of Kettering, was arrested for public intoxication at the Hawthorne Suites. She was released to a friend.
Cynthia M. Henson, 26, of West Carrollton, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Pool Avenue. She was taken to the county jail.
A 16-year old juvenile male was charged with felony domestic violence and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center.
