VANDALIA – Bruce Ratliff was elected as the 2016-2017 president of the Butler Performing Arts Association (BPAA). This organization supports the Butler High School vocal music, instrumental music, marching band’s color guard, and kickline programs.

BPAA members work closely with band, color guard, choral and kickline directors to maintain and improve the experience for our performing arts students to always do their best. Serving through July 1, 2017 with Bruce Ratliff will be: Leslie Kapis, vice-president; Lisa Hausfeld, secretary; and Donna Abele, treasurer.

All music parents/guardians who are interested in joining BPAA are encouraged to attend the next BPAA meeting, Tuesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at Vandalia United Methodist church located at 200 S Dixie Drive, Vandalia.

Additionally, the newly elected BPAA officers have agreed to keep Liz Bowling in place as the Dragons Baseball contact. This annual fundraising effort raises thousands of dollars each year to support the band, vocal music, color guard and kickline students of Butler High School. Parents/guardians of Butler High School performing arts students may contact Liz Bowling at 937-510-0007 to schedule their three concession events which are required for membership.
