Vandalia Police Reports April 3-13

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

April 12

A vehicle was reported stolen from a business on Poe Avenue but was found across the street behind an address on Webster St. The vehicle was released to the driver.

April 14

A complainant on N. Dixie Drive reported an unknown person opened a Directv account in his name. The investigation continues.

While checking on a disabled vehicle in the area of Stonequarry and Helke Roads, a confiscation order was discovered for the license plates. They were seized and the vehicle towed at owner’s request.

An employee at Waffle House reported that her credit card was stolen from her purse and a gift card purchased in the Cincinnati area. The investigation continues.

April 15

Nathan A. Smith, 27, was arrested for criminal trespassing after going into a store he had previously been trespassed from. He was issued a summons and released.

A resident on Heather Ct. reported fraudulent charges on her Mastercard. The investigation continues.

April 16

Chelsey L. Combs, 22, was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers responded to a fight on N. Dixie Dr. She was issued a summons and released to a sober relative.

A guest at the Travelodge reported missing prescription drugs allegedly stolen from his room. The investigation continues.

April 17

A complainant on Waldsmith Way reported that an unknown person made debit card purchase in Huber Heights. The investigation continues.

Joseph A. Mills, 23, was cited for disorderly conduct after a large fight at the Buckeye Harley Davidson HOG Room. He was given a summons and released to a sober family member.

Paul A. Peterson, 47, was arrested for felony domestic violence, abduction, and resisting arrest after an incident on Continental Court. He is also being held on a probation violation for a previous felony domestic violence charge.

April 18

A manager at FedEx on Deer Run Road intercepted a package of suspected marijuana being sent to an address in Urbana. The box contained packages of marijuana candy, a marijuana cookie, pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, a vial of cannabis oil, and a pill bottle size container of marijuana buds. The package had a return address of Oceanside, CA. It was confiscated but prosecution was not sought due to lack of jurisdiction.

Stephen Ross Peterson, 31, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation out of Fairborn Municipal Court. He was transferred to a Fairborn officer.

Bethany N. Hampton, 26, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court for a felony probation violation on a drug charge. She was subsequently charged with possession of drug abuse instruments after syringes were found in her purse.

Jessica A. Brown, 36, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct/intoxication after being found in the area of Halifax Dr. asking strangers for a ride. She was released to a sober adult.
