Vandalia Police Reports March 21-23

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

March 21

A complainant on Miller Lane reported an unknown person stole change and car keys from an unlocked vehicle. The investigation continues.

Bradley Plummer, 25, was cited for littering after being observed throwing a bottle across the roadway on Poe Ave.

March 22

A complainant reported that unknown suspects took eight tires and wheels from a semi tanker parked at an address on Ventnor Ave. The investigation continues.

A complainant on Poe Ave. reported that an unknown person stole a truck from a business. The investigation continues.

A complainant reported that an unknown person stole her identity and opened an account at Verizon. The investigation continues.

A vehicle reported as stolen out of New Paris was recovered on Poe Ave. The vehicle was towed and processed for evidence.

A complainant on Buttercup Ave. reported that an unknown person stole their overhead garage door sensor. The investigation continues.

Adrian Collins, 28, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant out of Fairborn Municipal Court for failure to appear after a license plate check at the Travelodge. He was transferred to Beavercreek Police.

March 23

Krista E. VanDyke, 24, of Dayton, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Montgomery County Common Pleas court on an original charge of forgery/receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor warrant out of Juvenile Court for contributing to educational neglect after being found at the Travelodge on Poe Ave. She was transported to the county jail.

Beth Schulte, 37, was arrested on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to comply with probation on an original charge of assault. Her bond was waived and released to the probation department.

Over 13 pounds of prescription drugs were removed from the drop box at the police department for destruction.

Daniel S. Burton, 53, was arrested for OVI and cited for open container after an accident at the Vandalia Sports Complex. He was taken to Grandview Hospital to be evaluated for injuries.

Justin A. Ankrom, 21, was arrested for OVI after a traffic stop on Northwoods Blvd. He was released to his girlfriend.
