VANDLIA — The Vandalia Lions Club held their Spring Ladies Nite dinner meeting on Thursday April 14. Lion District Governor Jack Morris, from the Mad River Club, was presented a check for $500 for the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF). LCIF privides world-wide support to relief projects.

Morris also presented an LCIF Melvin Jones Award to Vandalia Secretary Gary Spoltman. Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones, the award is the Foundation’s highest honor as a recognition of a commitment to humanitarian service. The award includes a plaque and special lapel pin.
