BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

March 28

Accident reports

March 31 – N. Dixie at Benchwood Road

April 1 – U.S. 40 at Dog Leg Road

Unit #1 was traveling east on US 40 in the eastbound lane and when at Dog Leg Road, failed to stop with in the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2 which was traveling east on US 40 in the eastbound lane and was stopped in traffic.

April 2 – McSmith Lane

Unit #1 was circling the cul-de-sac at the southern end of McSmith Lane and when at 7309, Unit #1 lost control of the vehicle and struck the mailbox at 7309 McSmith Lane. Unit #1 then departed the scene.

April 2 – Benchwood Road at Miller Lane

Unit #1 was traveling west on Benchwood Road in the left turn lane and when at Miller Lane, failed to stop within the assured clear distance ahead and collided with the rear of Unit #2 which was traveling west on Miller Lane in the left turn lane and was stopped in traffic.
