BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The Montgomery County Transportation Improvement District (TID) will present a report on traffic counts and truck traffic at the Butler Township Trustees meeting on Monday, April 11.
The study was conducted last fall and in January by IBI group and was presented to the Vandalia City Council on March 7.
The study included roadways in Vandalia, Butler Township, and Union including I-70, I-75, U.S. 40, Dixie Drive, Peters Pike, Dog Leg Road, Union Airpark Boulevard, Old Springfield Road, Lightner Road, and Frederick Pike, Northwoods Boulevard, and others. The study also compares current traffic counts to available historical date provided by the Ohio Department of Transporation.
Steve Stanley, Executive Director of the TID, said the study was part of the process for improving U.S. 40 as part of a federally funded project. Parts of the study were funded by ODOT, the TID, the Cities of Union, Dayton, and Union.
The Butler Township Trustees are scheduled to meet in regular session Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m. in the Butler Township Hall, 3780 Little York Road.
