Home School Co-Op to present Little Mermaid
VANDALIA — School on the Rock Home School Co-op will be presenting Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr. April 14, 15, and 16 at The Hangar, 615 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia Ohio 45377 under the direction of Amy Fraley. The performances on Thursday, the 14 and Friday, the 15 will begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Saturday’s performance is a matinee beginning at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 presale for the Thursday/Friday shows, $10 at the door and $6.00 presale for the Saturday show, $8.00 at the door. American Red Criss Babysitter’s Training Class
VANDALIA — Get ready for the job and responsibility of babysitting on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Vandalia Senior Center. Topics include caring for, supervising and playing with children of different ages, selecting safe toys and games, preventing accidents, handling emergencies and performing basic first aid. Ages 11-15 years old. The cost is $90 Resident/VRC Member and $100 for Non-Resident. You must enroll in this class by Saturday, April 9.
Englewood Art Festival seeking artists, parade participants
ENGLEWOOD — Applications from artists and parade participants for the 43rd annual Englewood Art Festival, Saturday August 13, and Sunday August 14, 2016 are now being accepted by the Englewood Festival and Arts Commission.
The parade is a prelude to all of the festival events and will take place on Union Boulevard at 9 a.m. Saturday August 13.
Artists are asked to submit photos of their handmade original work for review by the Festival Exhibitors Committee. Applications are due June 1 and can be found on the Englewood city website at www.englewood.oh.us or by calling the Earl Heck Community Center at 937-836-5929.
Summer Aerospace Camp registration now open
WPAFB – Registration for four affordable and exciting summer aerospace camps is now open at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Campers who have completed grades 4-8 will be able to learn about a variety of topics through hands-on activities that incorporate history, science and math concepts, as well as team-building skills. Home school students can explore the world’s largest aviation museum and learn about aviation history and STEM topics during Spring Home School Day on April 4 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Throughout the day, home school children, ages 3-18, can participate in a number of free educational activities, many focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) themes. Museum to ‘come alive’ to celebrate fourth building

Kiser High School Almuni Meetings

Vandalia Lions Club meets twice monthly
VANDALIA — The Vandalia Lions Club holds dinner meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Cassel Hills Golf Clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. The club does not hold dinner meetings in July or August. Programs include speakers covering topical subjects.
