BUTLER TWP. – The Butler Township Trustees have cancelled their regularly scheduled meeting that was set for Monday, March 28. The announcement does not say why the meeting was cancelled.

The Trustees will hold a workshop at 6 p.m. Included on that agenda is an executive session to “discuss confidential information with other political subdivisions regarding requests for economic development.”

Sources have told the Vandalia Drummer News that the meeting was requested by Montgomery County Administrator Joe Tuss and Montgomery County Economic Development Director Erik Collins.

No further details were available, and Butler Township Acting Administrator Erika Vogel said she did not know any details about what would be discussed. Messages have been left with Mr. Tuss and Mr. Collins seeking information on the nature of the meeting.
