Vandalia police reports Feb. 16-18

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

February 16

Summeray L. Jones, 21, was issued a summons for criminal damaging after an incident at the Speedway on E. National Road.

A complainant reported that she suspected a former home health aide was taking money and other items from her home. The investigation continues.

February 17

A complainant reported that her adult son stole a credit card from her purse and used it to take cash from an ATM machine. The investigation continues.

Buckeye’s Harley Davidson reported tow dealer tags lost or stolen. Both were entered into LEADS/NCIC as stolen.

A complainant reported that an unknown person charged fraudulent charges on her debit card. The investigation continues.

A manager at Kroger reported that a known subject attempted to pass a counterfeit $10 bill. The investigation continues.

Anthony A. Dunn, 34, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court for probation violation on an original charge of heroin possession. He was taken to the county jail.

Smedley’s Chevrolet reported an audit found five missing dealer license plates. They were entered into LEADS as lost/stolen.

Officers took a report of a missing phone that was stolen from Scene 75. The investigation continues.

February 18

Brenda K. Mounts, 52, Springfield, was arrested for OVI after she stopped her vehicle on Poe Avenue and walked back to the patrol car. She was released to a sober friend.
