Vandalia Police Reports Feb. 2-7

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

February 2

A resident on S. Dixie Drive reported that someone stole a temporary license plate from his vehicle. The investigation continues.

February 3

Milton D. Mobley, 29, Dayton, was arrested on a warrant out of Miamisburg Municipal Court for unathorized use of property after a traffic stop for crossing the center line on W. National Road. He was taken to the county jail.

A resident on Norwich Road reported several fraudulent credit card thefts. The investigation continues.

A complainant on E. Alkaline Springs Road reported that a relative fraudulently used her identity to file a false tax return. The investigation continues.

Darion Cunningham, 22, was arrested for domestic violence. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Andrew T. Combs was issued a smmons for possession of marijuana subsequent to a traffic stop.

A complainant on Maple St. reported that someone removed property from his apartment while he was in jail. The investigation continues.

February 4

A complainant on Kenbrook Dr. reported missing golf bags inside his apartment. There are no known suspects.

February 5

Desire N. Collins, 21, Everett, Washington, was arrested on a soliciting charge after police were called to the Hawthorne Suites on suspected prostitution. Her companion, Jermaine D. Henderson, 35, at large, was arrested on a felony warrant by the U.S. Marshal’s Office for federal warrants out of Washington State and California for dangerous drugs and a probation violation.

Officers were called to the Shell Station on W. National on the report of a shoplifter. The investigation continues.

Unknown suspects attempted to steal a business trailer from a business on N. Dixie Dr. The investigation continues.

Thrifty Car Rental reported finding ammunition in a vehicle that was returned. The investigation continues.

A business on Poe Ave. reported that a truck work box was broken into overnight. The investigation continues.

February 6

Clarence A. Smart, 53, of Huber Heights, was arrested on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to comply with probation on an OVI offense. He was transported to the county jail.

An Ohio State Trooper brought Cruzito Solis, 18, of Huber Heights, to take an alcohol breath test. He tested .132 BAC and was released to a sober friend at the department.

An Ohio State Trooper brought brought Shawn M. Genreux, 36, to take an alcohol breath test. He tested .112 BAC and was released at the department.

February 7

Vandalia police assisted the Dayton Police Department in recovering a stolen vehicle when it was driven to an address on S. Brown School Road to be picked up by the suspicious person. Dayton police took custody of the suspect.

Sean Chansler, 44, of West Carrollton, was arrested for criminal trespassing after he was caught riding on a CSX train. He was also found to have a felony probation violation warrant out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court on an original charge of receiving stolen property. He was transported to the county jail.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm on Corporate Center Dr. and found an unknown male suspect had stolen several pistols from the glass case. The investigation continues.

Jacob A. Yantis, 29, was arrested on a probation violation warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court. He posted bond at the department and was released.
