Huber physician indicted

Dr. Robert Hunter, who is a physician at Buckeye Family Practice in Huber Heights, has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges stemming from an incident at Taylorsville MetroPark in July.


HUBER HEIGHTS — A Huber Heights doctor has been indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury on rape and kidnapping charges stemming from an incident in July at Taylorsville Metro Park.

Dr. Robert Hunter was indicted on four counts of felony rape, one count of abduction, and kidnapping last week. He is scheduled to be arraigned by Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Dennis J. Adkins on January 5.

Hunter is currently free on a $100,000 bond posted after his arrest on July 15. He was arrested at his medical practice, Buckeye Family Practice at 8701 Old Troy Pike by Five Rivers MetroParks rangers.

Hunter, 45 at the time of the incident, was arrested the Five Rivers MetroParks PD, according to Hunter’s booking information.

After his arrest, Mark P. Hess, Chief of Rangers at River Rivers MetroParks, said that Hunter and the victim knew each other.

“The victim and Dr. Hunter knew each other prior to this incident,” said Hess. “The reported rape occurred on July 15 in mid-afternoon in his vehicle, which was parked on a service road at Taylorsville MetroPark. The rape was reported to us at 11:24 p.m. on July 15 after the victim went to Dublin (Ohio) Methodist Hospital for treatment.”

Hunter received his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and served his residency at Dayton’s Grandview Hospital according to his biography on the Buckeye Family Practice website.
