VANDALIA — Members of the Butler High School National Honor Society (NHS) delivered the City of Vandalia’s Annual Report and calendar to residents on Saturday. The students delivered about 6,500 copies of the calendar to the city which was divided into 15 different routes.
“We are very grateful for the support we receive from the Butler students,” said Vandalia Communications Manager Rich Hopkins. The kids came in with a great attitude and had a lot of fun with it.”
Hopkins said that this year’s distribution was done in “record time” with many of the students done with their routes by noon.
“The kids do a terrific job and take their role in the calendar distribution seriously,” he said. “It is a win-win for both organizations as the city is able to distribute the calendars at a low cost and the Honor Society at Butler receives a donation for scholarships.”
Hopkins also thanks NHS advisors Laurie Penrod and Jeff Mesko for organizing the event.
Anyone who did not receive a calendar may pick one up at the Vandalia Municipal Building during normal business hours. You may also get in touch with Hopkins at 415-2251 or by email at email@example.com.
