VANDALIA — The December 10 dinner meeting of the Vandalia Lions Club was the Christmas Ladies Night.

Entertainment was provided by 25 members of the Vandalia-Butler High School Chamber Choir. This is a select group from the larger Symphonic Choir. The program presented by this talented group, under the direction of Mr. Kevin Wilson, included selections ranging from the Renaissance time period, Folk Tunes, and traditional, specially arranged, Christmas Carols, all with beautiful tones and harmonies.

The Lions Club also used this opportunity to present $2,500 to the Butler High School Performing Arts Department from the Club’s Henry Seger Memorial Fund. The funds are to defray part of the expenses of sending the Butler Marching Aviators Indianapolis last month to participate in the Bands of America Grand National Championship. Mr Wilson accepted the donation in behalf of the School.
