VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
Jerry J. Smith, Jr., 52, was arrested for OVI in the area of Coppergate Dr. and Greystone Circle after a call from a concerned driver. He was released to a family member.
Bryan M. Smith, 23, was arrested for felonious assault after an incident in which he allegedly chased and hit another vehicle. The felony charged were not approved by prosecutors, and Smith was subsequently charged with aggravated menacing. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
Jamara O. Hall, 23, was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail by Dayton police.
A complainant reported that an unknown person had opened an account at DP&L in her name and had several hundred dollars in arrears at an apartment she never lived in. The investigation continues.
A 15-year old juvenile male and a 14-year old juvenile female were arrested for theft, underage consumption of alcohol, and disorderly conduct after officers found them as a result of an anonymous caller. The female was transported to Children’s Hospital and the male was released to a family member.
An officer was dispatched to the Shell on W. National Road on the report of an employee stealing lottery tickets. The investigation continues.
A citizen turned in a Northridge Class of 2014 ring found near Spartan Ave. and Foley Dr. It was placed in police property for safekeeping.
A complainant at Bunkers Bar and Grill reported that an unknown person hit her vehicle and left the area. The investigation continues.
A complainant at Rush Truck Centers reported that their fence was cut in two places. Nothing appeared missing from the business. The investigation continues.
