Polk Grove to sell sugar waffles June 20

BUTLER TWP. — Polk Grove United Church of Christ is having a Sugar Waffle sale Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be held in the parking lot at the church which is located at 9190 Frederick Pike in Butler Twp. The cost is two for $1 or five for $2. All proceed will benefit the church youth group.

Carnival Day at Cassel Hills Pool

Family Day: Play Ball

“Play ball!” is a phrase most often heard on a baseball field. But from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, visitors to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force will have the chance to learn about the science behind baseball and other sports with free interactive programs at Family Day.

Kiser High School Heritage Day Festival slated

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Kiser High School Alumni’s annual Heritage Day Festival fish fry will be held July 18 at the Elks Lodge #58, 2801 Troy Pike beginning at 5 p.m. The cost is $12 in advance, $15 at the door. There will also be a $500 raffle drawing and other raffles and games. All proceeds benefit the Kiser High School Scholarship. Honorees this year are band members, cheerleaders, majorettes, and Pantherettes. A limited number of tickets will be sold.

Kiser High School Almuni Meetings

HUBER HEIGHTS — Kiser High School alumni meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except November and December) at the American Legion Post 200 which is at 5046 Nebraska Avenue, Huber Heights. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. Graduates, attendees, and friends of Kiser High School ae welcome to attend. Please park at the rear of the building and use rear entrance.

Northmont Class of 1975 to hold reunion

ENGLEWOOD — The Northmont Class of 1975 will hold a reunion on October 8, 2015 at Boston’s Bistro from 8 p.m. to midnight with a 70’s Alumni meet and greet. Artists, parade participants sought for Englewood Art Festival

ENGLEWOOD — Applications from artists and parade participants for the 42nd annual Englewood Art Festival, Saturday August 8 and Sunday August 9, 2015, are now being accepted by the Englewood Festival and Arts Commission. The parade is a prelude to all of the festival activities and will take place on Union Boulevard at 9 a.m. Saturday August 8. Artists are asked to submit photos of their handmade original designs for review by the 2015 Festival Exhibitors Committee. Applications are due June 1 and can be found on the city’s website at www.englewood.oh.us, or by calling 937-836-5929.

Vandalia Lions Club meets twice monthly

VANDALIA — The Vandalia Lions Club holds dinner meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Cassel Hills Golf Clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. The club does not hold dinner meetings in July or August. Programs include speakers covering topical subjects.
