Vandalia Police Reports Oct. 14-17

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

October 14

A driver reported that she was driving west on Bolton Abbey Lane and swerved to avoid a Vandalia police cruiser that caused damage to her vehicle’s rims. The case is listed as active/pending.

An officer was dispatched to the Dollar General store on W. National Road on the report of a petty theft. Clayton police attempted to make contact with the suspect but he no longer lives at the last known address. The investigation continues.

October 16

Randall S. Cox, 41, was arrested for violation of a protection order and also a felony warrant out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court for bringing drugs into a jail. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

A complainant reported that someone punctured the left rear tire of his vehicle causing it to go flat. The investigation continues.

An employee of Dollar General reported that an unknown female stole items from the store without paying. The investigation continues.

The manager of Cashland on National Road reported that an unidentified suspect stole a car stereo from the store. The investigation continues.

October 17

Marianna S. Martin, 50, was arrested for OVI after officers were called to the Waffle House. She was released to a family member.
