VANDALIA — Boy Scout Troop 307 members and Pack 307 Webelos Scouts from Pack 307, St. John’s Lutheran Church, spent two troop meetings working on a local service project at the SABEC Memorial V.F.W. Post 9582 and Ladies Auxiliary in Vandalia.

These scouts cleaned the vegetation off the west boundary fenceline of the V.F.W. property. The fenceline measures at least 500 foot.

Troop 307 Life Scout Austin Klauss originated this project and brought the Troop and V.F.W. together. Troop leaders and V.F.W. Post leaders are looking forward to further projects together such as more service projects and scout campouts on the V.F.W. property.
