VANDALIA — Organizers of the Vandalia-Butler Foundation’s Community Celebration have indefinitely postponed the event that was scheduled for Sunday at the Vandalia Art Park.

“We didn’t have enough participants so we are regrouping and look forward to organizing another event in the spring,” said Cathy Petersen, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Petersen said anyone who has bought tickets to the event would be reimbursed.

The Foundation was going to introduce its new Special Interest Funds at the event. The new funds are designed to allow community members to target their contributions more specifically.

The Foundation’s Special Interest Funds are: Small Business Development, Education, Social Services, Recreation, Environment, Community Health and Arts & Culture.

Petersen said that the funds will be introduced in the Foundation’s Annual Report which will be released in October.
