VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
Tommie Lee Darden Jr., 61, was arrested after a Fairborn detective found him outside the Super 8 Motel. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
Officers were dispatched to SVG Motors on the report of an auto thft by a known suspect. Th suspect left a possibly stolen truck in the parking lot at SVG Motors. The investigation continues.
Jack W. Fain, 56, was arrested for OVI after he was observed on I-75 traveling at a high rate of speed and making two lane violations. He was released to a friend.
Melissa K. Mittelstadt, 29, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County for possession of Heroin. She was transported to the county jail.
A 16-year old juvenile male and another 16-year old juvenile male were charged with disorderly conduct and referred to the Montgomery County Juvenile Court for a fight that occurred at an address on S. Tionda Dr.
Andrew Lightfoot, 29, was issued a summons for criminal damaging after an incident at an apartment on W. National Road.
An employee of Delphi reported that his phone was stolen. Police questioned the person who the victim suspected but he denied the theft. The investigation continues.
Randy Haner, 50, was arrested on two warrants after police were dispatched to an address on Imperial Court for a criminal damaging report. One warrant was a felony probation violation warrant out of Montgomery County and the other was for failure to appear on an OVI charge out Vandalia Municipal Court. He was transported to the county jail.
Stephanie E. Greene, 30, was arrested for OVI after originally being stopped for only having one working headlight on E. National Road. She was released to a sober friend.
A guest of the Travel Lodge Motel on Poe Avenue reported that unknown persons stole over $1,800 from his hotel room. The investigation continues.
A complainant on Buttercup Ave. reported that a known suspect came on his property and stole items including keys and license plates from a vehicle. The investigation continues.
Zebedee L. Johnson, 35, was arrested on a parole violation warrant after he was stopped for walking across Little York Road where signs prohibit crossing. He was taken to the county jail.
Charles D. Harvey, 71, was issued a summons for receiving stolen property after the theft of two large landscaping rocks from an address on Settlers Trail.
Timothy M.Vancil, 47, was arrested on a warrant by Englewood police on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to comply with probation on a disorderly conduct charge. He was transported to the county jail.
John P. Liles, 44, was arrested on a felony warrant for intimidation out of Sidney. Initially Liles refused to come out of his truck parked at the Flying J Travel Plaza, but he eventually surrendered after hostage negotiators arrived on scene. He was taken to the county jail and also charged with obstructing official business.
A known female rented equipment from Vandalia rental and returned part of the equipment 21 days late but a power panel and five power cords were not returned. Attempts to have the equipment returned have failed. The investigation continues.
Michael Hering, 21, was arrested for animal cruelty after an incident on Timberlake Dr. left the animal with a cut on its chest and a possible broken jaw. He was transported to the county jail.
A person reported the theft of a bicycle from outside Fricker’s on National Road. The investigation continues.
A complainant on Waller Ave. reported that his tires had been slashed by unknown persons. The investigation continues.
