VANDALIA — Thanks to a $3,700 grant from VISIONS and donations from PTO groups, the students of Demmitt, Helke and Smith are receiving new library books.

Students are having a chance to look at the new books this week and then will be able to check out the books at future library visits. Media Aide Nancy Anderson worked with students last year to develop the list of books purchased for each of the three schools.

Anderson says it has been awhile since the schools were able to make such an investment in new books.

From the looks on these kids’ faces, they are very happy with the new additions.
