BUTLER TWP. — Butler Township Police are seeking the public’s help in locating and arresting a suspect who fled from police last Wednesday.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Jonathan C. Hoffman for multiple charges including reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, failure to stop after accident involving serious physical harm, and two counts of vehicular assault.
Township police observed Hoffman in a vehicle that had been involved in a hit and run crash to a parked vehicle on N. Sunny Ridge Road off of N. Dixie Drive.
When police tried to stop the vehicle, Hoffman fled west on Sunny Ridge then to N. Dixie Drive where he sped south at a high rate of spped.
Hoffman lost control, left the roadway, and the vehicle rolled on its top ejecting two passengers who were transported to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries.
Hoffman, whose last known address was in Franklin, fled on foot.
